Finding News on Parkinson's Research
This site contains several locations on the Web where there are listings of news. They are typically a secondary news source, in that news does not usually break on them; but they will hold the news for an extended period and possibly even archive it.
See the Latest News site for Parkinson news as it happens - which will be far more time-consuming to follow. Latest news is often posted on the Parkinson's Information Exchange (listserv) by some of the people on the list.
Since the postings on the list are archived, they may be searched and retrieved at a later date.
An excellent source for news (published primarily in medical journals) is Medline, available through the United States National Institutes of Health (NIH). This is a massive site with huge amounts of information. It is arranged so as to be relatively easy to navigate, but there are so many choices available that you may not find your way back to the same spot on your second visit - unless you document your path or use a bookmark (or "favorite") to guide you back.
Current Science Reviews Each month, many of the main scientific and medical peer-reviewed journals were reviewed for any articles, abstracts or papers which may be of interest or relevance to Parkinson?s disease by Joe Bruman, and he also archived them.
It was to Joe's credit that he brought in much data that were difficult for laypeople to understand, for his job was quite thorough. When Joe died, nobody carried on his efforts in quite the same manner.
